What is a Device Mapping?
The Device Mapping is the assignment of a particular Device ID to a desired Athlete. This allows for the correct activity data to associate to the correct Athlete.
To Assign/Map a Device to an Athlete
- Turn on your dock and insert your Vector devices.
- In the Catapult Vector App select the Hardware tab.
- Click on Vector 7 Devices which will take you to the Devices page.
- Find the device you wish to assign to an Athlete by matching the device ID (found on the back of your Vector device) to the ID in the list of Devices found in the dock.
- Select the Map button to the right of the device ID.
- Select the Athlete you wish to map the device to. Ensure device is still in the dock and dock is turned on.
- Once successful you will see a Mapping successful message on the page and then automatically be directed back to the Device page in the Catapult Vector App.
To remap the same Athlete to a new device:
- Follow the same steps as mapping a device.
- Find the Device ID for the new device.
- Click on the same athlete’s name to complete the remapping.
To reassign a mapped device to a different Athlete:
- Follow the same steps as mapping a device.
- Find the Device ID for the currently mapped device.
- Click on the new athlete’s name to reassign it.
