How to Set up an Initial Connection to Share Data to Another Account

Before you can share data, two accounts must be linked using a one-time code, codes are valid for 7 days. Accounts only need to be connected once to allow for two-way shares for multiple shares.

Generating a connection code

1. Navigate to Settings > Share Centre > Account connections.
2. Click the Connect with another account dropdown and select Share a code.
3. Enter a Reference Name to identify the connection.  This is for your own reference.
4. Click Next.
5. Click Copy and close to copy the 12-character code to your clipboard.
6. Send the code to the other account via your preferred messaging client. E.g. email, WhatsApp etc.
7. Once the code has been accepted you will have the opportunity to configure the metadata shared.

The pending code appears under Pending connections until it is accepted.

Using a code shared with you

1. Navigate to Settings > Share Centre > Account connections.
2. Click the Connect with another account dropdown and select Input a code shared with you.
3. Paste the code and click Next.
4. Confirm the Reference Name for the connection.  This is for your own reference.
5. Choose what metadata you want to send back to the connected account. Click Period names or Activity names to Sending if you wish to include them.  By default they will be redacted.
6. Click Confirm & Create Share to share data immediately, or Confirm & Close to finish later.
