Activities are created in the OpenField Cloud in two circumstances:
- A Live activity created on the Catapult Vector App is saved and uploaded
- Devices with new activities are connected to the Vector dock
Devices with new activities are connected to the Vector dock
When devices with new activities are connected to the dock, the Athlete data is automatically uploaded to the Cloud.
- If there is no existing activity on the Cloud that covers the timespan of any activity uploaded, an automatically created activity will be generated.
- This auto created activity will contain a single period that spans the Athlete data uploaded from devices.
Live activity is created on the Catapult Vector App
When a Live activity created on the Catapult Vector App is saved and uploaded, it will:
- Create a new activity on the Cloud with the same activity information and periods as created on the app.
- If an un-edited auto created activity already exists over the same timespan, the live activity information will overwrite the auto created activity.
- If an edited activity already exists over the same timespan, the periods that were created in the live activity will be imported into the existing activity. Athletes will not be added to these imported periods automatically.
