When you first log into the Catapult Vector app from your device, you will be prompted to set up your Vector Dock. As part of the multi-dock support* you will be able to register all of your docks to your account during this initial setup. The docks are set up one at a time.
*Requires Catapult Vector version 2.0.1 or above.
To Set Up Vector Dock(s)
- Log into the Catapult Vector app ensuring your device has Bluetooth enabled.
- Plug your dock into the power supply and turn on the dock.
- Wait for all LED's to show a solid state and select the Hardware tab in the Catapult Vector app.
-
Click on +Hardware in the top right corner and confirm your hardware is connected to power and turned on.
-
Select the dock you want to set up once the ID appears after scanning, and hit Next at the bottom of the screen.
Note: your dock ID is the last 5 digits printed on the QR label found on the front of the Dock. -
Select the WiFi you wish to connect the dock to and enter the WiFi password, then hit Connect.
Important Notes:
- Only ASCII characters are supported in the passwords when setting up WiFi.
- Vector Core does not directly support Captive Portal networks (typically used by business centres and public venues that offer free WiFi hotspots). However, in these cases you can either:
- add your Dock's MAC address to an allowlist (for more details see How Do I Connect to a Captive Portal Network?), or
- log in to a non-captive portal network, or
- use a mobile hotspot
-
Confirm all of your devices are plugged into the dock. Your dock will now be registered to your account and any updates will be applied.
- Once the dock has successfully connected to the OpenField Cloud it will notify you that it is ready to use.
- Just hit Finish Setup at the bottom of the page and you will be directed to the Catapult Vector Activity page.
- To register additional dock(s), select +Hardware again and follow the same steps above.
