Longitudinal report allows you to view performance of multiple athletes across multiple activities over a period of time compared to the average of multiple activities with the same tag, for example the MD average. It displays the following details:
To access Longitudinal report:
- In the OpenField Cloud, navigate to the Reporting page.
- Activity report will be selected in the Report Type dropdown. Select Longitudinal from the dropdown.
- Select the activity(ies) you wish to report on in the Activities panel on the left. You can scroll down the list of activities or filter the list by the name and date of the activity, which will automatically select all the activities within the filtered range. By default the report will load the last 7 days of activities.
Summary
The Summary tab is divided into four sections:
-
Overview Card
- A breakdown of the total activities completed for the week for both training and matches.
- A summary of the total load accumulated through the activities selected as a percentage of benchmark. You can use the Compare to dropdown to change the benchmark you are comparing to.
- An overall acute:chronic workload ratio based on 7 v 28 day loading (Rolling average model). You can find out more about the ratio and its potential use on the Science for Sport website here.
- Availability Chart - shows a percentage of availability for all training activities with 'available' being any athlete tagged with the 'Full' participation tag and unavailable being the total number of athletes in the team x number of training activities. If the dashboard is filtered by one or multiple athletes then it will display as a percentage of the total number of athletes selected instead of all athletes in the team.
- Daily Breakdown Chart - the breakdown of the overall load for the activities selected based on an average per Athlete.
- Daily Breakdown Table - the breakdown of the overall load for the activities selected based on an average per Athlete.
Filters
There are two filters available on the Longitudinal report:
- Participation Filter - this allows you to be able to filter based on participation tag. For example, you may want to understand what the main team did across all activities and not include those who only did part or rehab sessions who may skew the averages down.
- Athlete Filter - this allows you to be able to filter based on the Athlete's name. For example, you may want to understand how an individual Athlete has performed over time.
Periods
The Periods tab is divided into three sections:
- Overview - a summary of the total load accumulated through the activities selected as a percentage of benchmark, as per the Summary tab.
-
Periods Chart - shows you the hardest periods based on the longitudinal period of time across the chosen activities. You can select as many activities as you wish and display any two parameters, with Volume and Intensity being shown by default. To show different parameters, deselect Volume and/or Intensity and select your preferred parameters.
Tip: Use the Sort button in the top right to sort the totals by the first or the second parameter. - Breakdown Charts - show you the breakdowns of the overall values that contribute to the total load in each period for the selected activities.
Athletes
The Athletes tab is divided into three sections:
- Overview - a summary of the total load accumulated through the activities selected as a percentage of benchmark, as per the Summary tab.
-
Athletes Chart - shows you the totals for two parameters for each Athlete based on the longitudinal period of time across the chosen activities. By default, Volume and Intensity are being displayed. To show different parameters, deselect Volume and/or Intensity and select your preferred parameters.
Tip: Use the Sort button in the top right to sort the totals by the first or the second parameter. -
Breakdown Table - shows you a tabular view of the totals for the selected parameters for each Athlete. You can choose up to 5 preferred parameters that you wish to display.
Tip: Click on any of the column headings to sort the table by that parameter.- Within the breakdown you can View all parameters by:
- Absolute - the value achieved across all activities, e.g. 10km.
- Percentage - the percentage of the compare to benchmark achieved in all the activities selected, e.g. 90%.
- A:C Ratio - the latest acute chronic ratio score as a ratio between the average daily load for the last week vs the last 28 days, e.g. 1.6. The ratio is calculated based on the latest date of the latest activity selected.
- Within the breakdown you can View all parameters by:
