In order for your athletes to gain access to the Athlete App, they must be a 'Remote Athlete' user in OpenField Cloud. This will enable them to use their personal email address to log in and create a password unique to them. From an Administrator's point of view it will also allow you to invite and disable their access to the Athlete App.
How to create a 'Remote Athlete' user
- Log in to OpenField Cloud using your team's main OpenField account.
Note: This can't be a sub user account as these accounts don't allow user creation. - Go to Settings, then Users & Permissions.
- Click Add New User.
- In the fields below enter the following information about the athlete you are creating an account for:
- Username: <Athlete's personal email address>
- Name: <First name, Last name
Note: this must match how it is spelled in their Athlete OpenField profile. - Email: <Athlete's personal email address> (same as username section)
- Under Account Type select the Remote Athlete option.
- Click Create User. A pop-up will appear warning you this user will not be allowed to log in to OpenField. This means a Remote Athlete user will only be allowed to log into the Athlete App and will not see their own or anyone else's data on OpenField Cloud or Console.
- Click Confirm. You should now see the new account listed with the rest of the accounts. The athlete will then receive an email inviting them to create a password and download the app.
