An improved workflow for changing WiFi networks has been introduced in Vector Core version 1.2.7. It allows you to quickly change which network your Vector Dock is connected to without the need for de-registering/re-registering the dock.
Important: Dock WiFi management feature requires the dock to run on firmware version 7.5.1. To check the firmware version see this guide. If you need to update the firmware please contact Support.

To change the WiFi network complete the following steps:
- Turn on your Vector Dock and connect to power. Ensure you are within Bluetooth range.
- Open the Vector App and click the Device page in the bottom right corner.
- Go to the Docks tab and select View next to the dock for which you wish to change the WiFi network.
- Select WiFi.
Your mobile device will connect to your dock via Bluetooth, as indicated by the spinner. Please ensure your mobile device is in close proximity to your dock and wait up to 10 seconds for the connection to be established. - On the WiFi management screen, under CONNECTED, you will see the SSID of your dock’s current WiFi connection.
Press the Change Network button to begin the change WiFi network workflow.
- Your Vector Dock will begin scanning for available networks and will present a list. Select the desired network from this list.
If your desired network does not appear in the list, press the Rescan button to search again.
Note: Network scan will take up to 10 seconds to complete. - Once selected please enter your network password and press Join.
- Once verified, you will see the updated SSID for the connected network on the WiFi Management screen.
Note: if you are changing from an active WiFi connection to a new one, your Vector Dock will show 'No Internet' status momentarily due to the change in network.
Please wait 60 seconds for your dock status bar to show 'Internet Connected' again, at which point dock status information will be available in the Dock tab.
